Cross-cultural communication is vital for climate messaging because it ensures that information is conveyed effectively and resonates with diverse audiences locally, nationally, regionally and internationally. Understanding cultural nuances and perspectives allows for the crafting of messages that are culturally framed and relevant, increasing their impact and resonance.

The Multicultural Leadership Initiative cultivates and crafts cross-cultural communication on climate through our multilingual social research with diverse communities. We are building the kind of climate messaging that can bridge across perceived difference and inspire shared commonality, fostering a sense of community and cooperation be it local or global.

To equip climate organisations and community based organisations with this knowledge, the Multicultural Leadership Initiative will be releasing our inaugural Cross-Cultural Climate Messaging toolkit in late 2024.
